Indian Smartphone maker
major Lava has introduced the newest addition to Iris club of
smartphones Lava Iris 550Q.The Lava Iris 550Q has been launched for price Rs.13000. The
date of availability is not known as of yet but it is expected to hit
the market at the start of this month. It’s black in color and brings
along a flip cover that’s free. The smartphone supports dual SIM
(GSM+GSM) feature.
The
Iris 550Q has a 5.5-inch IPS HD display with One Glass Solution
technology implemented. It’s equipped with two cameras. The primary
camera has a resolution of 8MP with BSI sensor and LED flash. The
secondary camera on the front side is a 2MP shooter. This Iris device
depends upon a 2600mAh battery that can survive up to 10 hours of talk
time on 2G.Lava’s
latest offering is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor. It packs
1GB of RAM and has 4GB of storage space within. Memory can be expanded
externally up to 32GB using a microSD card. Connectivity options feature
the usual- 3G, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and Wi-Fi. The phone runs on
Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS and will receive over the air updates says
Lava.
Earlier Lava had floated another Iris family phone, Iris
503e with a price tag of Rs.6,749. This one’s driven by a 1.2GHz
Dual-Core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It has 4GB of inbuilt
storage space that can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card. The
screen is 5-inch in size and has a resolution of 480×854 pixels. The
camera on the rear panel is 3MP while the 1.3MP camera on the front
assists in video calls.
